The Problem
A critical section of the highwall showed signs of wedge failure, threatening the haul road below. Production could not be stopped, so work had to be performed during active mining operations.

Solution
Our Approach
Utilizing remote sensing monitoring, our crews installed high-capacity tensioned cable bolts to lock the wedge in place. We worked night shifts to minimize interaction with haul trucks.

The wedge was successfully stabilized, allowing mining to deepen in that sector. Project completed safely despite the high-hazard environment.
