Drilling
Rock anchors are steel tendons used in stabilizing rock excavations commonly found in tunnels and rock cuts. They consist of passive rock dowels and active rock bolts. Rock anchors typically transfer a load from an unstable exposed rock mass to the stable, stronger interior rock mass.
Cable Anchors are flexible spiral rope cables used when an application demands flexibility and high tensile strength. A cable anchor can be drilled into rock or soil and ensures optimal load transfer between the rope and substrate.
Drains can be drilled into soil or rock substrate to minimize hydrostatic pressure in subsurface levels. Drains are used to stabilize slopes by providing a way to unweight the slope material and allow excess water to be removed.
Rock Supremacy has extensive experience in drilling rock anchors, cable anchors, and drains in all types of environments. From tunnel rehab work below 500-feet to 1,000-foot-high slopes, there is no task too daunting for Rock Supremacy. Our large fleet of specialized drills allows us to access unattainable locations that typical heavy civil companies cannot reach.
